Mark had worked in Security for most of his life but unfortunatley his Security license (SIA) had run out and he neeed to renew his badge. As we regularly hold SIA Security training courses here at The Hub, in partnership Orangebox Training, Mark was booked on a course.
Mark attened his SIA course in January 2025 and successful passed the course, acheving his SIA license, with renewed confidence in gaining employment.
It didn’t stop here for Mark though, as his dream is to be a Security Dog Handler.
After telling his Job centre Work Coach that he had passed his SIA course, he enquired about help undertake a Dog Handling training (NASDU qualification).
There aren’t many opportunities to do this in the UK but Mark was fortunate enough to get a fully funded programme in Hull and after an intensive weeks training, he is now a fully qualified Security Dog Handler.
Mark is now one of a few qualified dog handlers in the North East, has his dog now and is putting her to work and will soon be ready to go!!!
